Testimonials
At blackJack-mAsters, we have taught students
throughout Australia, New Zealand, Asia, the US and throughout the world to become winning casino
BlackJack players. We keep in contact with
our students and receive an extremely high level of positive feedback. Following are some
testimonials provided from students. Due to the nature of Professional
BlackJack and the casino's willingness to restrict and even ban
skilled players, the identities of our students needs to remain
anonymous. We assure you that these are in fact true and accurate
testimonials received from our students.

Comments regarding weekend seminar Oct 2002
Here are some unsolicited
comments we received in emails from students after our weekend seminar
held on 19 and 20 October 2002:
"Thanks for a great seminar on the weekend"
"thank you very much for an interesting and informative
weekend. Irrespective of future career advancement, I would still
consider it money well spent."
"I must say I was quite impressed with the seminar on the
weekend. At first it seemed daunting, however, I have already mastered
the basic strategy, and I now feel a lot more confident. I find
myself practicing my basic strategy and working out the card counting
as I go. Like you said, I will persist at it for a fair while to
ensure I am confident on passing the table test."
"I would like
to congratulate you in the manner you conducted the weekend seminar
I thoroughly enjoyed and in which I learnt a lot, you were very
professional and had excellent control"
"your
contribution to the players is phenomenal. Congratulations."
"I attended the
seminar last weekend and really enjoyed it. It was well worth
the trip to Australia!"

Hi Vinnie,
Thanks for sending me the zip file.
I've recently downloaded Winzip and got the notes.
Just the other day I had "Excel" installed on my laptop.
Now, of course, when I go to your website the couse notes appear.
I've printed out the pages that were amended since my Feb 2002 notes ( I like to keep my hard copy notes current).
I'm constantly amazed at the level of service you blokes provide.
Cheers for now, [name withheld]

Gday Andrew,
I would like to thank BJ Masters and yourself for all the support I have received
in my BJ career so far. I have now completed about 75 hours play on red spread
and have encountered plenty of fluctuation in those hours played. Support from
yourself and all the posts on the forums (graduate, basic student and public)
have kept my attitude positive through negative fluctuations. and I have just
enjoyed a winning streak of 8 sessions in a row.
I look forward to a long BJ career and a continued association with BJ Masters.
Cheers,

Feedback about the Home
Study Kits
We had this voluntary post in our public forum on Friday,
20 September 2002 at 01:33, in response to someone asking if our any of our
Home Study Kit students had been successful at Professional BlackJack:
"I am
one of the home study students. Let me tell you I read and re-read
and re-read again until I understood how the casino wins and what
you have to do to beat it. What I liked was Andrew's thinking behind
the reasons he gives. There were no maybes ifs or buts or emotional
responses to play, only the the decisive logic of the maths required
to beat the game.
"So after
I had done all the drills and practice required, I still didn't
like the idea of risking up to $12000 to see if I could win. I bought
myself a dealer's shoe and a set of chips so I could as near as
possible simulate casino play in placing bets and paying out as
I won. I dealt myself 60,000 hands of black jack and recorded the
resulting win or loss at the end of each shoe. Playing a red spread,
I had won almost exactly what the maths predicted I should win.
"About half
way through, I suffered a dramatic loss of about $6000 over about
100 hours of play. However, as this was just practice, I continued
on and made a dramatic recovery. Believe me, practice like this
gives you enormous confidence in the maths.
"So venturing
forth to the casino, I started to play and after 200 hours lost
consistently up to $7500. This really tested my faith! I went over
everything again to make sure I hadn't missed something. After licking
my wounds, Andrew convinced me that 200 hours is too small a statistical
sampling and that I should keep on playing.
"After a few
weeks I finally plucked up the courage to go back to the casino.
I kept staring at the graph I had made of my practice sessions and
thought what the hell.
"Well the
heavens opened trumpets blared forth and the blackjack gods were
favouring me! In the next 150 hours of play, I went from $7500 down
to $7500 up, a turn around of $15000!
"I have since gone on to other spreads and after 1100 hours of play am
very well up. But believe me, I nearly gave it up and had I not become convinced
from my 60,000 hands of practice I might have. Hang in there, it works."
[blackJack-mAsters comment: This student had a particularly
horrible initial downward slide but then came back handsomely. Many of our students
do not dip down anything like this amount, but we include this story in our
testimonials as an example of how even the unluckiest students can recover if
they follow the system!]

A student's feedback
"I completed the BJ Masters course in October 2002 and passed my table test in March 2003. I have now played over 1000 hours of blackjack and am up over $30,000 with approximately 600 hours on red spread and 400 hours on green spread.
Once you have mastered the technical aspects of the game (which in my opinion are not overly difficult, especially if you have played BJ as a normal gambler and have a rough idea of basic strategy already), the only way to succeed in the long term is to win the psychological battle in your own head. You must be mentally tough and able to withstand the trauma of losing large wads of cash on a regular basis. In order to do this you must believe the underlying mathematics, which are the fundamental basis of card counting (the normal distribution and its properties must become your friend).
"
A student's account of his progression through the spreads of Professional
BlackJack
"After completing the BJ Masters course in November 1997 and then training
at home for several months, I passed my table test at the start of January 1998
and have been playing professional blackjack ever since.
"For the reason of protecting my identity from casino staff, I can say
only that I play predominantly in one of the larger Australian casinos
although I have played in nearly all Australian casinos and several
overseas. I intend to travel and play a lot more overseas, now that
I have become a black plan player in Australia.
"I lasted 6 months on the starting level of red plan (low stakes blackjack
with a starting bankroll of $10000-) and learnt a lot just being
in the casino and observing the way the casinos operated, before
I graduated to the next level, green plan (bankroll $30,000). This
plan lasted another 12 months, as I was still working full time,
in my real (9-5) job and playing as often as I could, which was
between 10 and 20 hours per week.
"I was only able to graduate to the next level of blue plan (bankroll $80000-)
when I had won the money required . The more I played the more my
results were close to or right on the forecast expected wins for
the plan I was playing.
"I lasted another 12 months on blue plan before I finally made the transition
to black plan (bankroll $200,000-) which I have been playing ever
since July 2000.
"Right up until the time I started on black plan, which is basically high
stakes blackjack, I kept working my normal job. However I no longer
have a full time job as such but rather make the majority of my
income from blackjack and choose to do contract work that takes
up about 15 hours per week.
"I play
blackjack full time (30 hours per week) now and do those hours basically
when I choose, although they are predominantly in the early afternoons
or evenings. This allows me the freedom to do what I want when I
want and fit in my hours at the casino around whatever else I am
doing.
"I am
also travelling interstate to play approximately every 6 weeks and
usually stay at a casino for about 4 or 5 days. I have only been
overseas to play a couple of times but now plan to do 3-4 trips
per year. At all the casinos I play at I am treated as a VIP and
the casinos pay for all my rooms, travel (business or first class),
and accommodation.
"I don't
want to make this a sales letter but I would like to recommend the
course and also the ongoing support I have received from the bJ
Masters team.
"I was
incredibly skeptical when I first did the course and was continually
wondering where's the catch, but now I just enjoy what bJ Masters
has taught me to do."

A student's inspirational story of his professional blackjack career
My BJ Story
"In the early 1970's at the age of 17 I went to Wrest Point Casino in Hobart (I looked older & age checking did not exist then) & had my 1st experience of BJ. As lady luck would have it I won $700 (a lot of money for a teenager considering salary's were about $1 an hour back then). I guess this was the time I realized BJ was actually a beatable game, but it would be many years later before pursuing this path.
"Over many years I continued to dabble with different systems & convinced myself it was definitely a BEATABLE game. I even came up with an idea that if I could win $100+ per day then that may be better than a real job & a satisfactory income, so I spent 4 days at Crown researching my theory & just watching BJ. Sadly but fortunately I worked out that timing of bets was part of the trick but had NO idea of when these bets should be placed. I had heard about this system called "Card Counting" but as well as having NO idea of how, I also figured that I was not smart enough or had the memory talents required. (WOW was I so wrong about these requirements being necessary).
"Quite a while back I saw this guy on TV who reportedly had been barred from Crown for winning too much & was suing the Casino over this issue. This immediately caught my attention as someone who obviously did know how to beat BJ along with my admiration & respect. Several years passed & one late night Andrew's BJ School popped up on TV, which stirred up many years of a theory I had long considered. I then made an enquiry & was advised I would be informed of the next Seminar later in the year.
"Several months later I arrived home from a temp job only to be advised the contract had been terminated. A few moments later there was this letter from BJ Masters inviting me to attend the upcoming Seminar. It was at this moment I decided this was the time to pursue my long term theory. That is a moment I will never regret even though the course fees were of concern at that time (needlessly). I have never been a good one in wise investments but I can genuinely confirm without a doubt this was definitely one of the smarter financial decisions of my life even though I would have preferred to have proceeded earlier.
"The above is now history; needless to say I attended the Seminar, the weekend training course & then spent many hours at home practicing before proceeding with my new profession.
"I am still clearly a junior kid on the block & juggling between a real job & BJ but the twinkle in the tunnel of years ago is most certainly becoming brighter. Over the last 2 years I have now completed about 1500 hours (1 year full time) with minimal starting bank roll. My lifestyle has not changed one bit (BJ bank roll is totally isolated from household income) with the exception that most entertainment time & spare time has been spent at Crown with much enjoyment.
"I am still along way from where I would like to be but do hope to make BJ my prime income earner somewhere between 2 & 5 years dependant on which direction this unbelievable roller coaster ride takes me.
"This is not a profession for the faint hearted, undisciplined or wild cards but it is well within the realm of the average Joe Blow who is prepared to listen & invest time & effort to succeed.
"DOES COUNTING WORK? -
YES! Without a shadow of doubt
"IS IT FUN? -
YES! Without a shadow of doubt
"CAN IT BE SCARY? -
YES! Without a shadow of doubt
"DOES IT REQUIRE EFFORT TO LEARN? -
YES! Without a shadow of doubt
"IS IT WORTH THE INVESTMENT OF TIME & MONEY? -
YES! Without a shadow of doubt
"WOULD I DO IT AGAIN? -
YES! Without a shadow of doubt
"DO I REGRET STARTING BJ? -
NO! It's just a pity I did not start earlier
"Good Luck or Advantage is YOUR CHOICE"

Another student's story
I would like to take this opportunity to thank both Andrew W. Scott and Chris Martin for their help, support and ongoing career guidance and advice.
When I first met Andrew to discuss a possible Blackjack career and what was involved in taking the game "all the way" to the higher betting spreads,
I was like most people, very sceptical. Did I need to be great at maths? Did I need a great memory? Does this system really work? It didn't take me
long, thanks to Andrew's knowledge of blackjack, to realize that the game of blackjack was indeed beatable.
After many, many hours practicing, I sat my first table test and failed. Understandably I was a little gutted after thinking my skill level was high enough to pass.
It didn't take me long to realize that failing my first table test was going to make me a better player.
Anyway, I did pass my second table test and I could see that my skill had definitely increased due to following the guidelines on the home study DVD and other materials.
As for my results, I have completed what I consider the apprentice stages of a blackjack player's career (red & green spread). I played a total of 473:10 hours on
red and green spread winning $52,187. Now I've just started on blue spread. So far after just 16:00 hours on blue spread I have won another $13,175.
Anyone reading this who might be thinking of taking up professional blackjack as a career, or even as a part-time job/hobby, I can't recommend Blackjack Masters
highly enough.
For me a career as a professional blackjack player is not only an opportunity to make a great deal of (tax free) money but also an opportunity to live "a life
less ordinary".
(Note that these results are not typical, but represent extreme swings, which are certainly possible.)
